Oops Notes
I wanted to take this opportunity to explain a little bit about our Oops Notes and how those are used here at the Learning Center. Oops Notes are used as a communication tool to notify parents of any mistakes and/or incidents that occur during the school day. Often times, situations cannot be easily summarized on a piece of paper, and therefore emails or phone calls are often used in conjunction with Oops Notes. At the same time, not all mistakes warrant a phone call or an email, and therefore, the Oops Notes serve as a heads up for you so that you can follow up at home with your child.
In addition, Oops Notes provide behavioral data for our school. Our PBIS team collects and analyzes the behavior-related data so that we may identify problems that may be occurring in different areas throughout the school, thus allowing us the opportunity to develop plans to address those areas of need. This data is also used as a way of measuring the success of our SOAR program.
The Oops Notes come in triplicate copy (white, yellow, pink). When and Oops Note is filled out, the white copy is sent to the office, the pink copy remains with the teacher to serve as a reminder, and the yellow copy is sent home. If you should ever receive an Oops Note for your child, it will be the yellow copy, which we ask that you sign and return. Should you have any questions related to the information on the note, please do not hesitate to contact myself or the teacher that filled out the note.
