Smog

What is Smog?

Smog is the mixture of smoke and fog. It can also be the mixture of soot and fog. The smoke comes from active volcanos, forest fires, or just a plain backyard bonfire.

What causes it?

Smog is the mixture of smoke and fog. It can be caused by active volcanos, forest fires, or just a plain backyard bonfire. It can also be made from all of the pollution from cars. The weather can also affect the making of smog. For example if the heat stays close to the ground and not rise it can make the heavy smog levels from pollution go way up.

Effects on the environment and living things.

Smog can affect may living things. From use living beings to the animals and their habitat. It can affect us by making our lungs and respiratory system weaker, and eventually the rest of the body due to our lungs filling up with smog instead of oxygen. The same things happen to animals that breath air so eventually they go instinct due to our polluting of the air because they can't put on something to help themselves breath. The environment is affected by it by killing trees that supply oxygen, and destroying habitats.

How to reduce and prevent it.

You can reduce and prevent smog in many ways. Some ways to reduce it is by carpooling, riding buses, walk, and bike. Gas lawn mowers and even gas grills pollute the air. They pollute it by emitting the gases into the air that they have already burned up. Their gases are mixed with fog to make the smog sometimes. We can also reduce it by stopping the use of plastic bottles only once. You can use them again and again as long as they hold water inside them, so use them again and don´t throw it away. Some people think that the world will never get worse, but the truth is that it is getting worse with every passing second. It will only stop if we make it stop, so lets start reusing things and not throwing things away that could be recycled and reused.
