Staff Highlight-Title I
Mrs. Canfield
Hello, my name is Ruth Canfield. I taught for 31 ½ years in Tippecanoe Valley School System and Wabash City Schools. I taught Kindergarten, First and Second Grade. When my husband became Pastor of the First Church of God in Greensburg, I retired. When we moved to Greensburg, I had the awesome privilege of being hired at NDE as a Title I Assistant. This is my 6th year and I absolutely love being with the staff and students at NDE. My husband is Terry, and we have two adult sons, Josh, and Nate. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Taylor University. My master’s is from Ball State University. Outside of school and in my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, taking walks, and doing things with friends.
Mrs. Koors
My name is Kerri Koors, and I love being an interventionist for third and fourth grade. I received my Bachelor's in elementary education with a kindergarten endorsement from Indiana University. I have enjoyed a variety of teaching experiences, including being a kindergarten teacher. My husband and I live in Greensburg with our daughters, Hannah and Whitney. We also have two sweet guinea pigs named Nutmeg and Eclaire. Besides spending time with family and friends, my interests include writing children's books, baking, reading, and swimming.
Mrs. O'Dell
Hello, my name is Sarah O'Dell and I am the Title 1 teacher at NDE. My husband, Chris, and I have 3 boys. Aiden is in 11th grade, Logan is in 9th, and Camden is in 5th. Our 3 boys keep us very busy with all the sports and we love to go on family vacations. I grew up in Merrillville, IN, which is in northwest Indiana. I went to Ball State University and actually graduated with a business degree. I later went back to school and got my teaching license from Indiana Wesleyan University. I have been living in Greensburg now for 15 years. I taught Kindergarten at Good Shepherd for 6 years and then came to NDE to be a part of the Title 1 team. I have been the Title 1 teacher for 6 years now. I love my Charger family and am so blessed to work at this amazing school.
Mrs. Rogers
My name is Mrs. Rogers. I am married to Mr. Rogers, and live in Batesville with our cat, Aslan. We have an adult daughter, Katherine. I attended Taylor University (some of the time with Mrs. Canfield) and Wright State University. I enjoy eating out, watching college basketball, volleyball, and SEC football, flower gardening, singing, and baking. I LOVE my NDE family, especially my Team Title friends!
