Report Cards Come Home Today in Special Delivery Envelopes
Parent-Teacher Conference Appointments Will Close Monday Night, 11/12.
Have you signed up for your K-8 Parent/Teacher Conference?
Parents can sign up for conferences on the link below. Be sure to choose your specific teacher and click on their link. Conferences will be held on the afternoons of November 14th, 15th and 16th. These are also half days of school (K-8 dismissed at 11:30)
- If you have a child in Kindergarten through 5th grade, parent-teacher conferences are required. K–5th-grade students DO NOT attend with parents.
- If you have a student in 6th-8th grade, teachers will invite you to a conference if they feel it is needed. 6th-8th students ARE required to attend with their parents. If you don’t receive an invitation but do wish to conference with a teacher, please contact that teacher. Extended Care will be available during conference times.
School Photo Proofs Coming Home Today
- Please detach the top portion first. You will be returning the order envelope that has the three poses.
- Check that your child’s name is spelled correctly. (If not, please correct)
- Circle the pose that you’d like for the yearbook.
- If you wish to order, fill in the information on the envelope and include your payment.
- Return the proofs Tuesday 11/13.

Positive Discipline: Three Practical Strategies Parents Can Use
What Is Positive Discipline?
The “positive discipline” model is used by schools and parents to reinforce positive behavior. Rather than focus on punishment, the model focuses on mutual respect. When respect exists in both the adult and the student, the disciplinarian can focus on positive points of behavior.
Grace Christian School Book Fair

Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to attend our Neighborhood Soccer Camp here on the Grace field 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Includes free lunch.

Face to Face Youth Group (Middle School)
Our Second November event is Turkey Bowling!! This is a free event and it will be held at Grace from 6-9pm. It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like. We will have pizza, a Bible lesson, worship and then a bowling tournament with frozen turkeys!!! This was a lot of fun last year! Gingerbread Houses at Grace ~ December 1st
It’s only 3 weeks away! Reserve your Gingerbread kit NOW!
At 6:00 pm we will have salad, pizza, drinks and cookies, compliments of Grace Women’s Ministry and Thrivent. Then our fellowship continues as we build our Gingerbread Houses! Invite your friends and bring the whole family! (Please note there is no Saturday night worship on Dec. 1st) Gingerbread kits are $10. Payment accepted at the door.

Thanksgiving Critter Camp at Helen Woodward Animal Center
Frosty Farm at Helen Woodward Animal Center
As always, the holidays are coming fast and will be over before you know it! Frosty Farm is an event that gives families the chance to spend quality time with their loved ones while meeting cute critters and enjoying festive activities.
There’s no holiday stress here, Frosty Farm will have your whole family in good cheer! This festive event at Helen Woodward Animal Center takes place during the first three weekends in December (12/1-2, 12/8-9, and 12/15-16) and combines family-friendly activities with hands-on animal interactions. Your family will enjoy the following:
- Personal meet and greet with Santa Claus
- Photo opportunities with cute critters
- A variety of crafts (including making a toy for orphan pets)
- An elf obstacle course
- Holiday treats
- Face painting
- Games

Adopt A Family for Christmas
A tradition at Grace is the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Tree. This is a special tree in the welcome center decorated with “ornaments” reflecting the needs of a family that may be going through tough times and could use a little Christ Child cheer. If you know of a family in this situation please pick up the form available in the welcome center.
