Report Cards Come Home Today in Special Delivery Envelopes

Parent-Teacher Conference Appointments Will Close Monday Night, 11/12.

Have you signed up for your K-8 Parent/Teacher Conference?

Parents can sign up for conferences on the link below. Be sure to choose your specific teacher and click on their link. Conferences will be held on the afternoons of November 14th, 15th and 16th. These are also half days of school (K-8 dismissed at 11:30)


  • If you have a child in Kindergarten through 5th grade, parent-teacher conferences are required. K–5th-grade students DO NOT attend with parents.
  • If you have a student in 6th-8th grade, teachers will invite you to a conference if they feel it is needed. 6th-8th students ARE required to attend with their parents. If you don’t receive an invitation but do wish to conference with a teacher, please contact that teacher. Extended Care will be available during conference times.

School Photo Proofs Coming Home Today

Check your Special delivery envelope for your child's photo proofs. These need to be returned even if you choose not to order.
  1. Please detach the top portion first. You will be returning the order envelope that has the three poses.
  2. Check that your child’s name is spelled correctly. (If not, please correct)
  3. Circle the pose that you’d like for the yearbook.
  4. If you wish to order, fill in the information on the envelope and include your payment.
  5. Return the proofs Tuesday 11/13.
Thank you for returning proofs on time so we can get the prints back quickly.

First Trimester Awards

Parents, we hope you can be here on Wednesday, November 14th for our 1st-trimester awards. We will be recognizing students who have received Alpha & Beta honor roll and perfect school attendance after the 9:00 musical. (approximately 9:45/10:00)

November has an array of 1/2 days, days off and vacation days. To help keep you on track, here is some information for November.
  • Nov. 12 Veteran's Day Holiday – School, Preschool & Extended Care CLOSED
  • Nov. 14 -16 - K-8 Half Days and Parent-Teacher Conferences. K-8 dismissed at 11:30 AM Extended Care available until 6:00 pm BE SURE TO BRING A LUNCH!.
  • Nov. 19 - 23 K-8 Thanksgiving vacation (No School)
  • Nov. 19 - 21 Extended Care and Preschool Open, sack lunch required
  • Nov. 22 - 23 Preschool and Extended Care CLOSED
  • Nov. 30 – Half day – School dismissed at 11:30 AM, sack lunch required

What Is Positive Discipline?

The “positive discipline” model is used by schools and parents to reinforce positive behavior. Rather than focus on punishment, the model focuses on mutual respect. When respect exists in both the adult and the student, the disciplinarian can focus on positive points of behavior.

Gingerbread Houses at Grace ~ December 1st

It’s only 3 weeks away! Reserve your Gingerbread kit NOW!

At 6:00 pm we will have salad, pizza, drinks and cookies, compliments of Grace Women’s Ministry and Thrivent. Then our fellowship continues as we build our Gingerbread Houses! Invite your friends and bring the whole family! (Please note there is no Saturday night worship on Dec. 1st) Gingerbread kits are $10. Payment accepted at the door.

Thanksgiving Critter Camp at Helen Woodward Animal Center

Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Thanksgiving Critter Camp takes place from 11/19-21 and is perfect for students in Preschool – 6th grade. Kids will experience hands-on animal interactions with a variety of species, create crafts, participate in games, and find out why we should be thankful for all animals! You can register for one day or come to all three; we also offer extended care hours, lunch options, and have scholarships and discounts available. Click on the flyer or HERE to register!

Frosty Farm at Helen Woodward Animal Center

As always, the holidays are coming fast and will be over before you know it! Frosty Farm is an event that gives families the chance to spend quality time with their loved ones while meeting cute critters and enjoying festive activities.

There’s no holiday stress here, Frosty Farm will have your whole family in good cheer! This festive event at Helen Woodward Animal Center takes place during the first three weekends in December (12/1-2, 12/8-9, and 12/15-16) and combines family-friendly activities with hands-on animal interactions. Your family will enjoy the following:

  • Personal meet and greet with Santa Claus
  • Photo opportunities with cute critters
  • A variety of crafts (including making a toy for orphan pets)
  • An elf obstacle course
  • Holiday treats
  • Face painting
  • Games

Adopt A Family for Christmas

A tradition at Grace is the Adopt-A-Family Christmas Tree. This is a special tree in the welcome center decorated with “ornaments” reflecting the needs of a family that may be going through tough times and could use a little Christ Child cheer. If you know of a family in this situation please pick up the form available in the welcome center. Cheri Keaggy Appearing at Grace December 2nd.

Singer, songwriter, speaker, Cheri Keaggy will be at Grace on Sunday, December 2nd for our 8:00 and 9:30 worship services.

Beginning as a worship leader at a small church in Southern California, veteran CCM artist Cheri Keaggy has ministered through music and testimony for over twenty years. Her debut album Child of the Father, released to rave reviews in 1994, earning her a Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year. Nine albums, nine number one songs, three Dove Award nominations and a Dove Award win later, Keaggy continues to be a mainstay on Adult Contemporary and Inspirational radio, while congregations the world over sing her songs, including “There is Joy in the Lord” and “In Remembrance of Me,” during church services. Songs she wrote for her children have emerged as favorites at women’s events through the years (MOPS, Hearts at Home, Proverbs 31 Ministries, Family Life Ministries).
