From Ministry of Education, Spring Training Session 2015 - handout
"While great diversity exists between the many nations of Canada’s Aboriginal peoples, in creation stories, protocols, ceremonies, traditions, dances, songs, governance, rites of passage, and languages; there are essential understandings common across Aboriginal worldviews that have not changed over time. First Nation, Métis, and Inuit peoples also share a common historical experience with settler nations, the French and English and subsequently with the government of Canada which tie these cultural groups together in distinct ways from other groups in Canada."
