20th battalion
After they finished training they moved of to France and they entered the western front of the trenches and for the first time after a month had past the Australian troops were raided by the Germans.
In 1917 the 20th battalion took part in three battles and finished it before the year had ended, they battled against bullecourt in May, minin road in September and poelcappelle in October.
