MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL LAMBERT
Dear Mariano Castro Parents,
What a great Walkathon! Many thanks to all of the parents who stepped up to take a leadership role in this fantastic family event, in particular our PTA President, William Buitron and PTA Vice-President Trudy Wilson, Mistral Walkathon Chairperson Trish Gilbert, and Mistral PTA President Joey Garcia. Without their dedication and commitment to support our schools, the Walkathon would not have been such a success!
In addition to these lead volunteers, many, many more volunteered to help with the field, the prizes, the T-shirts, the publicity, and the food. It was an amazing event of cooperation and teamwork and next year we hope that many more parents join in the volunteering to share in this wonderful experience.
Best Regards,
Theresa Lambert

I want to thank all the parents, neighbors, students and staff of both schools for the help they gave us to make the Walkathon (WAT) happen on Friday, October 6, 2017. Both Mariano Castro and Gabriela Mistral thank you for your time and dedication, so that this event was a successful event.
I would like to emphasize once again that the revenues that have been collected will be divided equally between the two schools.
Your faithful servant:
William Buitron President PTA Mariano Castro
Theresa Lambert

The District will be conducting its annual earthquake exercise sometime during the week of Oct. 16. This is an opportunity for staff and students to test our emergency response actions and make improvements. This is also the week of the Great ShakeOut, which is a good time to go over your family's emergency procedures. We appreciate your support of these efforts to ensure our students’ safety.
