Here is what Jennifer has to say about this story:
This is my favorite nerdy past time. I started researching my ancestors many years ago with the hope of discovering a Duke or Duchess in my background. I didn’t find royalty, but I did discover many, many amazing ancestors going back to the early 1700’s. I found the ships they traveled on to come to America. I discovered their legal wills, and the wagon train they joined to travel the Oregon Trail.
I was on an Ancestry.com message board and I came across a person asking about my grandparents. I responded to it and realized we were cousins. I discovered that my grandpa on my dad’s side had been adopted and the last name I grew up with was an adopted last name. My dad descends from Fur Traders in Canada. I found pictures of his great uncles and father posing in the same way as my dad. It’s fascinating how generations can separate us, yet a common thread still makes us similar.
On my mom’s side, I learned more about the Irish side of our family. I found a cousin online who had a baby photo of my mom's dad. I was able to give this to her for Christmas. It was pretty special. I love to learn about the role my ancestors played in history.
I descend from German Quakers and Mennonites and Irish pig farmers. 😊 Many people are now taking part in ancestry research, making it a lot easier to discover information. With so many family trees online with stories and photos to go with them, it’s easier than ever.
I attached a picture I found of my 2xgreat grandfather Willis O’Neel. He is in a wagon on his pig farm. He also looks exactly like the old man from the Courage the Cowardly Dog cartoon.

LC Template Messaging for Understanding Grad Plans
Dear SCHOOL ABBREVIATION Students and Learning Coaches-
As we are approaching the end of the year, we would like to remind all students to view their Graduation Plan and ensure that they have no questions about next year’s courses.
We also want to take the opportunity to let all Learning Coaches know that as of April XX, 2019 you will have access from your Learning Coach account to view the Graduation Plan(s) for your student(s)!
As you know, the Graduation Plan is your student’s personalized path to graduation and is available in the Online High School. Being able to access the Graduation Plan for your student(s) gives you on-demand access to your student’s progress toward graduation.
To help you with this new functionality, we have attached the Understanding Graduation Plans document for reference. This document provides information on how to access your student’s Graduation Plan, and a comprehensive overview of what you will see when viewing your student’s Graduation Plan.
Please note that if you are the Learning Coach for more than one student, clicking on the drop-down arrow next to the student’s name will allow you to quickly and easily change the student plan you are viewing.
If you have any questions regarding this new functionality or your student’s plan, please contact XXXXXXXXXXX.
Sincerely-
XXXX Administrative Team
