Arthritis
Olivia Higbee
What is Arthritis?
Arthritis is caused by either genetics, age, weight, by a previous injury, occupational hazards, or an illness or an infection. It affects the joints in our bodies by freezing them, but doesn't affect the mind. When you have Arthritis, you can't do a lot of fun things, like, hiking or biking because your joints start to swell and hurt. Arthritis can't be cured, but you can take medication.
Is there anything you can do to help?
The Arthritis National Research Foundation (ANRF) supports medical researchers finding the causes and making treatments to help find a cure for this disease. An interesting fact about Arthritis is that not a lot of people are affected by Arthritis. About 1 of 100 are affected.
