Book Review Contest

Cool to Read Week

As part of Cool to Read Week, the library will be having a “book review” contest. All participating students will be entered into a raffle to win a prize and submissions will be posted on the library website. Think about how you can use the digital media lab and the green screen for a really cool project.

All submissions are due by Friday, February 12, 2021. The top 3 book reviews will win a prize!

See Mrs. DeLuca in the library if you have any questions or would like help getting started.

What to do!

Write a Book Review - You can complete a book review for any book you have independently read. Please give the book review to your ELA teacher or to Mrs. DeLuca for submission.

Create a Video Book Review. Simply take a video of yourself reviewing the book of your choice. Add images, video clips, titles, transitions or use green screen effects. Be creative!

Create a Video Book Trailer. A book trailer is similar to a movie trailer. It gives a little taste of what the book is about, without giving up too much information. It is meant to advertise or promote the book so that viewers want to read it. The examples below were done by AMS students:
