First of all I wanted to thank you for joining the Origami Owl business. Whether you have been a designer for a month or over a year, I am so glad that you made the decision to join me on this journey.

Vendor Opportunities

#1 Yucaipa Music and Arts Festival

I was able to book the Yucaipa Music and Arts festival that runs Friday, May 2nd - Sunday, May 4th. From what I have heard, it is pretty busy because it kicks off their market night season. There is no way I can cover the entire festival by myself, so I thought I would offer it to you before I opened it up to other designers.

The hours of the festival are: (Does not include set-up and tear-down)
  • Friday, May 2nd from 6pm-10pm
  • Saturday, May 3rd from 11am-10pm
  • Sunday, May 4th from 12pm-8pm


I was thinking that ideally, we would have 2 designers in the booth at all times. I know that most of us are used to working events ourselves, but I worked one of the events last year and there was definitely a need for two designers. I have prepaid for the booth and secured the business license from the state and the city. I also have the easy-up, lights, tables, etc.


If you are interested, the cost per-designer, $5 per hour if you split it with myself or another designer.

#2 Yuciapa Market Night

I was able to secure the Origami Owl booth for the Yucaipa Farmers Market, which runs on Friday nights from May-October. I currently have 9 dates that are available for the team. I joined the Chamber of Commerce which lowered the cost of the booth from $35 to $30 a week, as well as secured all of the business licenses. This event has to be prepaid each week to secure our spot. So, I will pay for the event and then you will pay me.

Available dates: 6pm-10pm (setup, usually starts @4pm)
  • May 16th
  • May 23rd
  • June 13th
  • July 18th
  • July 25th (only reserve the spot if you are not going to the O2 convention)
  • August 1st
  • August 15th
  • August 29th
  • September 5th


Email me if you are interested, and include your top 3 dates. I will assign each interested designer to 1 date and then begin assigning the open dates. First come, first served.

Incentives

I apologize for the delay in announcing our incentive for this month. I have decided that I would like to spoil my first line (all of you wonderful ladies), versus the entire team. With that said, I will be offering incentives only to my first line, and will be encouraging other mentors to do the same. So, if you have a team of you own, please consider offering them an incentive to work and grow their business

April incentive:
Any designer that has a pv of $500 or more will be entered into a drawing to win the Origami Owl Weekender from the back office. For every $2500 in pv generated by my 1st line, I will raffle off another weekender. We are currently at $3183.

Any designer in my 1st line that has a pv of $500 or more and does not win the weekender will receive a special gift from me.

Congratulations Cathy Parada and Andrea Anderson for already hitting $500+, you are entered into the drawing. So many of you are so close...
