The Groundhog Gazette
From The Desk Of Mrs. Uhlorn
I want to thank all of the parents who showed up wearing their masks and practiced social distancing when dropping their children off. Our goal is to keep school doors open and everyone safe and healthy. In order to do that we need to follow the CDH guidelines and the Boise School District Policy. If you are on BSD grounds, you are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. If you do not have one upon arrival to the building we will provide one to you.
As we gear up for the first quarter to conclude we will be scheduling virtual parent teacher conferences and sending information home the closer to the date. I know these times are strange and very different than what we are used to, however, I am continuously impressed by our students and the way they adapt to their surroundings. Know we are here to support them in all aspects, emotionally, educationally, and socially.
Lastly, a friendly reminder due to the pandemic we will not be having class parties, special snacks or the traditional Halloween parade this year. I know this is a long standing tradition and we may conjure something else up to keep the spirit alive.
If you have concerns, do not hesitate to reach out either via email or a phone call. Thank you again for all of your support and being amazing role models for our children so we can keep our doors open to you!
A big thank you to Ms. Brattin, Mrs. Howard, and Mr. Chris for putting together lanyards for our students so they do not lose their masks when at school! If you are interested in making your own lanyard, please reach out and we can get you the directions.
This year the Harrison Classic will be done virtually from October 5-11th. Get your student signed up today!
Please see the letter attached from our school nurse about screenings this year. If you have questions do not hesitate to email her or call her at the school.
