PRIDE OF THE TRIBE
Week of October 28, 2019
Teacher Brag Board
"Once again Sanger HS blood donors came through for north Texas area patients, and we thank each and every one of you that participated in yesterday’s blood drive.
The reports are in and here are the results:
113 pints collected
339 lives helped
Participation was EXCELLENT!
With the leadership of the HOSA volunteers, this blood drive was a huge success.
Thank YOU, Ms. Chancellor, for the continued enthusiasm that you have for this ever so needed community service. You have given us many hours of your time and we are very privileged to work with you." ~Susan Holt, Carter Blood Care
Nuts and Bolts
Dress Code - With it starting to get cold remind students blankets aren't allowed. Also, please continue checking for noserings and facial hair. These seem to be our most frequent violations.
EPI WEEK - Skills Check This Week!
WHEN IS SKILL CHECK OFF: October 28th to November 1st, before 1st period (7:45 to 8:15 am) or after 8th period (3:45 to 4:15 pm). If these times don’t work, reach out to the nurse and discuss other time options. This skill check-off should only take a few minutes; maybe even less than a minute!
WHERE TO GO: Nurse’s office.
HOW TO DO SKILL CHECK:
Skill check-off will be practicing giving an injection with an EpiPen trainer, and correctly identifying where the EpiPens are stored. (Front hallway by the office in a yellow box mounted next to the AED…just in case you haven't seen them.)
WATCH THE TWO VIDEOS THAT ARE LINKED BELOW IN THIS EMAIL BEFORE DOING SKILL CHECK OFF.

I LEAVE YOU WITH THIS...
"We want students to become lifelong learners. Well... it starts with us. The adults in the school should set an example of what it means to adapt, change, grow, and continue learning."~@SteeleThoughts
To his list, I would add "risk." Taking risks moves promising ideas forward.
