The book that I read was called Figgy in the world the author is Tamsin Janu and she is one of six children and went over to Ghana in 2009 and worked as a teacher and volunteered in orphanages and was surprised to figure out that kids that she worked for where interested in Australia more than anything. When she was over there she thought it was a "loud, colourful and chaotic country that operates very different from Australia. Not many Ghanaians have the luxuries that we all have, not many of them had a washing machine or computer but they do very well without. Many of the kids that Tamsin met had not even travelled 3 or 4 hours out of Ghana " Kids in Ghana that Tamsin worked for described them as having qualities such as wonder , humour , they love family, they are courageous and resilient in the face of hardship."
