News from the Clinic ~ Vision Screening

On November 12 & 13, 2015, the Marion County Health Dept. will be at FTMS East to perform both near and far vision screening. All 8th grade students, those who are new to Marion County, and those from other grades suspected of having a vision problem will be screened this day. Please make sure that your student wears prescribed contacts/glasses, if applicable, the day of screening, to avoid unnecessary referrals.

Media Center News

A big “Thank you” to all of the staff, students and parents for a successful Scholastic Book Fair! We earned $2000 Scholastic dollars to purchase new books for the media center and selected over 100 new books from the Scholastic Book Fair. The book fair helps build strong readers and enhances our collection at FTMS East.

I would also like to thank Mrs. Carrie Brewer-Thomas for organizing parent volunteers and running the book fair.

Thank you for your support! Happy reading!
