ELAR - Literature Circles in Action
The Crestview Elementary fifth graders in Ms. Holt’s and Ms. Vaughn’s classes have been working collaboratively to read and discuss novels in Literature Circles!
This structure for learning gives students opportunities to truly take ownership of their learning. They work together to not only summarize their reading, but to make connections and express their thoughts and opinions about what they have read.
Literature Circles open the door to students’ comprehension and reflection at a deeper level.
