Conductor Corner
Thank you to everyone who filled out our perception survey this fall. We received a lot of positive feedback and also found some areas for improvement. Ultimately, the goal of the school is to provide top notch education for the students in our community and to be a place where the students, parents, and community are involved and welcomed. We rely on the the feedback of students, staff, and parents to ensure all needs are being met. We put together a word cloud that shows a visual of some of the fantastic words that were mentioned about Durand Middle School by parents. The pride we all have for the school and community as well as the dedication to the learning of students was evident. We take all information we receive from these surveys very seriously and the results drive change in the school. For instance, some parents indicated that they would like to know more about how they can help their child with their school work at home. We are already hard at work looking for ways to address these needs. Again, thank you very much for taking the time to fill out the survey and for your continued support! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Student: Malerie Freese:
"I have had the wonderful opportunity to have Malerie in my Physical Education class for the past two years. Malerie is quiet and always doing what is asked of her without complaint; sometimes a student with those traits can fly under the radar, but not Malerie. She stands out in so many ways. Her effort and work ethic are outstanding. If you have her on your team you know you're going to get her best effort every time. She is also very intelligent, she picks up on directions and strategies very quickly. But what really sets Malerie apart is how she treats others. She is always so kind and supportive. Malerie is the first person to offer someone a helping hand, a word of encouragement or a high five for a job well done. Malerie truly is a standout."- Mr. Krupp
