Dress Code Policy Reminder
As the weather warms up, we are seeing an increase in clothing that is not school appropriate. We really need your help to avoid having to dress code your student. Our dress code policy is located in our District Student Rights & Responsibility Handbook and states that during the school day:
•Clothing must cover the entire buttocks and not be see-through. Shirts and tops may not expose bare midriffs, bare shoulders, nor be deeply or narrowly cut in the front, back, or under the arms. Halter tops, spaghetti straps, and strapless tops are not acceptable. Clothing that exposes undergarments will not be tolerated for males or females.
•No hats, bandannas, other head coverings, or sunglasses may be worn inside any campus building at any time, except for properly approved occupational safety headgear required for special classes or if authorized by a school administrator or authorized/prescribed by a medical professional. Hats and sunglasses may be worn outside.
•Obscene language or symbols, or symbols of drugs, sex, alcohol, or weapons on clothing are expressly prohibited. Clothing, accessories and/or jewelry may not state, imply, or depict hate speech/imagery targeting groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious affiliation, or any other protected classification
These policies will be enforced as we finish out the year, as we want to ensure the safety of our students and prevent distractions to the learning environment. Any student in violation of the dress code policy outlined in the SR&R will be sent to the nurse for a change of clothes. If extra clothes are limited, parents will be contacted to bring in alternative clothing.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Mindful Monday
Mindful Immersion
The purpose of this exercise is to cultivate contentment in the moment and escape the persistent striving we find ourselves caught up in on a daily basis. Pick a chore. Something you usually just want to get done before moving onto your next task. Rather than treating this as a regular chore, try treating it as a completely new activity. For example: washing up. NOtice how the water flows into the sink, how the washing up liquid coalesces with the water. How moving your hands through the water creates bubbles and how they feel on your skin.
The idea is to get creative and discover new experiences with a familiar task.
An Update from Mrs. O
News from the Library
All library books are due Thursday May 11, 2023. Students with missing books or fines will need to clear their library account before they can check out a book next school year.

Please remind students to have their Chromebooks and chargers ready to turn in. Chromebooks should be clean and free of stickers and other markings.

A Message from the Health Office
End of Year Medication Pick Up
Dear Parents/ Guardians;
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is almost here. I want to remind all of those families that have medication in the nurse’s office that it must be picked up by an adult no later than Thursday, May 18th. I do not keep any medication over the summer. Any medication not picked up will be destroyed after the pickup date.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Have a wonderful summer!
