Staying Connected

Everyone who works at NEDP wants to stay connected with all of our friends even though we don't get to spend time together every day. We've been collecting videos and emails from our staff of how they've been spending their time and are now working on the best way to share them with all of you.

What has Katie F been up to?

Hello Friends,

I am lucky enough to get to spend time at all of the different schools so I know lots and lots of you. While I've been home, (when I'm not working on the Daily Buzz) I've also been working on my garden. This spring, we enlarged our planting area and are excited to finish planning what we will be growing and get the plants in the ground. We are saving lots of space for watermelon plants and are very hopeful to grow one that we can eat this summer. Our dogs got very dirty while they "helped" us dig up this part of the yard. I've started lots of seeds inside and planted some wildflowers outside. I will be sharing pictures of its progress with all of you. I can't wait to see what this pile of dirt looks like in May. If gardening sounds fun to you, today's Daily Buzz will be right up your alley. We'd love to hear what you've been up to- who knows it may be featured in a future edition!

Grow Your Own Food!

Kristen (Broadmeadow Site Coordinator) will be trying this at home with her kids and thought that our NEDP friends may enjoy it as well. If you've ever thought of starting a garden, now is a great time and kidsgardening.org is a great place to start. We can't wait to get back to our NEDP gardens!
