A Message From The Principal

Dear Henry Hawk Families,

Congratulations to our 8th Grade Class of 2022!

We want to wish all of our PreK-7th grade Henry Hawk students and families a wonderful last two days of school. The last day is this Tuesday, June 14th. We know this year has not always been easy, but we are very proud of the hard work and perseverance that made everything possible and nothing unimaginable.

Please review the following safety reminders what was shared in the last two weeks.

  • Field day has been cancelled for this year to ensure the safety and security of our students.
  • Parents and community members must enter and exit through the main entrance (Door #2) at all times.
  • Please remember to stand in the view of the camera (Look up and to the left) so we can identify who is requesting entry and why.
  • All parents and community members that enter the building must check in with the security desk or the main office immediately.
  • All parents and community members are asked not to open doors for others. It is the responsibility of the security guards, clerks, and staff members to allow people to enter the building.
  • No one will be allowed into the Annex building without checking into the main office.

Medical Requirements SY23

Students with medications at school: Parents with students who have medications in the nurse's office, please do not forget to pick them up on the last day. Students with inhalers can have them sent home in their back packs however all other medications must be picked up by a parent or responsible adult. We do dispose of medications left behind.

5th grade parents: Next year your student is required to have an updated certificate of health (or physical) and Meningococcal and TDap vaccinations. Both sides are needed. If your child is 11 years of age and you have updated paperwork and immunizations, it can be sent to the office now rather than the start of next year. It can be turned in to the office or by contacting your doctor's office and having it faxed to 773-534-5042. If not, please schedule an appointment for your future sixth grader over the summer!

8th grade parents: An updated certificate of health (or physical) is a requirement for high school entrance. Both sides are needed. If your child has had an annual visit to their doctor since September 2021, you can send it to school now to meet the requirement early by sending it to school or contacting your doctor's office and having it faxed to 773-534-5042. If not, please schedule an appointment for your soon-to-be high schooler over the summer!
