Hurricane season starts from June 1 to November 30. Hurricanes use the Saffir Simpison Scale. It is a scale used for wind speed in a hurricane. There are 5 categories. Category 1 is 74 to 95 mph. That category is not that bad. It causes little damage. Category 2 is 96 to 100 mph.Category 3 is 111 to 130. Category 4 is 131 to 155 mph. Category 5 is higher than 155 mph.
