September 7-14


This will be a busy week with extra-curricular activities. 7th & 8th grade football games are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. All games will be played at Pirate Stadium and begin at 6:00 p.m. The Volleyball teams will play at Dunbar on Thursday and the 7th grade team will play in a tournament on Saturday. The tournament will be held at LBMS.

Pep Rally

We will have a Pep Rally on Wednesday, September 9. Wear your best "rodeo" attire to show your spirit.

The Pep Rally schedule and the seating chart with assignments can be found in LiveBinder. Please reference the two tabs labeled "Bell Schedule" and "Pep Rally and Sports Schedule".

Electronic Policy Forms

After homeroom on Tuesday, turn in all Electronic Policy forms. We will need you to do the following:

1) Print your roster

2) Highlight the names of students who did not return the form

3) Alphabetize the forms

4) Turn in to Linda

5) Students will be responsible for turning forms into the office after Tuesday.

UIL Academic Meet

We are looking forward to participating and winning the UIL Academic Meet on November 17. If you are coaching a team, please begin the selection process as soon as possible. Sign ups will take place this week and we will make announcements throughout the week. I will send an invite for Google Docs so that you amy submit your announcements electronically.

*We are in need of teacher volunteers for the " A Google sheets will be sent out for volunteers.

LBMS Campus Spotlight - September 24 @ 7:00 p.m

*New teachers to LBMS will be introduced

*All Pirates of the Month will also be introduced (will need teachers from each grade level to present the POMs)

A faculty meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 14. The meeting will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the Library. Bring your electronic device.

Giving Students Choices

Today's technology tools can provide you with the ability to give their students choices when assigning projects. Every student may not have the same apps as their classmates, so instead of requiring the students to use a particular app or website, why not give them a choice? You will find that student engagement and creativity will increase when students are given the freedom to use different tools to deliver content. Click the link below:
