Grades and Missing Work
Progress reports went home today. Students that are not meeting requirements for graduation ceremony were sent home with a letter that MUST be signed and returned to school. Remember students may not have any missing work or D's or F's to participate in fun activities the last week of school including the picnic, brunch, and ceremony.
Math
The students took their end of unit math test today. They were able to use notes on the entire test and a calculator on a large portion. Next week the students will review coordinate grids. Also, they will start a fraction project for the end of year brunch (see attached note).

Reading/Social Studies
The students have completed the study of the American Revolution! The majority of them did very well on the test that was open notes. If you want to check out their projects you can swing by the 5th grade hallway and use the Aurasma app to see them.
The students have started their end of the year projects. These involve letters to next year's fifth grade students explaining how to be successful in 5th grade. An essay about their favorite memories from L'Ouverture. Finally, video projects going over procedures and policies at L'Ouverture.
Science
Students have been working on the engineering design process. Students have done a great job of building, designing, and re-designing. They need to work on completing the reflection questions and testing their product. Students will have one more to complete that will be of their choosing. If they finish it, it will count as extra credit.
