Notes from the Library
Week of September 3-6
In Library Classes This Week
This week I will be seeing 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students in the Encore rotation. Students will have some time to connect in small groups while writing an acrostic poem. The activity is an opportunity for me to better learn student names. I am looking forward to reading aloud How I Spent My Summer Vacation by Mark Teague with students (video below). Students will also watch the PowToon video I made demonstrating how to fill out a Hold Slip. Many of the popular titles are on display in the library, but will not be available for checkout for a week. Students in each 3, 4, and 5 class will have the opportunity to put four titles on hold. Hold lists will be made and the first student to check out each title will be randomly selected.
Kindergarten, First, and Second grade: You won't be left out! If you'd like to visit the library this week for a tour, or to check out books, please see me to schedule an afternoon time. I will see all of your classes during our second round of Encore classes.

Print a List of Books You Need
Did you know you can access the Library Catalog from any school computer? From home? Did you know it's really easy to make a list of items you need? You can use your printed list to pull the books from the shelf yourself or you can drop the list off in the library and we'll pull the books for you.
Just watch the video to find out how!
