December 17th-19th, 2012
8th Grade is Half Over!
Can you believe it?? I know that I certainly can't! The 2012-2013 school year is officially half finished. I have so enjoyed working with each and every one of your children over the first half of this year and can't wait to see what the second half brings! They have all learned so much and I have learned just as much from them.
However, we still have one final assignment to wrap up! We are working on writing essays about our individual problems with the media and potential solutions to these problems. We will be turning in final drafts on Wednesday morning.
Cards for Dalton
My students used their Walk and Talk and transition times to make cards for Dalton this week! Dalton is a young man battling Cystic Fibrosis who is trying to break the Guinness World Record for the most Christmas cards received. We did a small part toward making that wish come true!
Odds & Ends
Our Classroom Library
Many, many students have used our classroom library over the last few months (yay!). However, so I can take inventory and streamline the checkout system over break, if your student has one of my books at home, could you send it back to school with them by Wednesday, please? Thank you!
