What is a Hardware and a Software?

A Hardware is the wiring, machines and other physical components of a computer or other electronic systems you can touch a hardware. A Software is the programs and other operating information used by a computer you can't touch a software even though you can see it. When you purchase a program, you are buying a software, but to be able to buy the software you need to buy the disk, the hardware, on which the software is recorded.

Input Device and Output Device

In computing, an input device is a peripheral (piece of computer hardware equipment) used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system such as a computer or information appliance. Examples of input devices include keyboards, mice, scanners, digital cameras and joysticks. An output device is any piece of computer hardware equipment used to communicate the results of data processing carried out by an information processing system (such as a computer) which converts the electronically generated information into human- readable form.

Storage Devices

A storage device is a piece of computer equipment on which information can be stored.

A program is a computer program written in an object- oriented style. A computer program or app is a sequence of instructions, written to perform a specified task on a computer. A computer requires programs to function, typically executing the programs instructions in a central processor.

Operating System

An operating system is system software that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides common services for computer programs.
