Map Grids
By Joshua, Cody, and Jake
What They Are
Grid lines on maps can be used to identify the location of a certain area. They can split it up into sections, or show latitude and longitude.
What They Are Not
They are not for decoration. Gridlines only serve as a way of finding your location.
How They Are Used?
For smaller areas (ex. an island or town), maps use letters and numbers to determine locations. For lager maps (world and country maps), latitude and longitude lines are used sometimes for the same purpose. Both can be used to find safe areas during an apocalypse.
