Aphasia is a disorder caused by damage to the parts of the brain that control language. It can make it hard for you to read, write, and say what you mean to say. Aphasia doesn't impair the persons intelligence.

What area of the brain does it affect ?

Aphasia typically affects the areas on the left hemisphere of the brain.


Main Symptoms include
  • Trouble Speaking
  • Struggling with finding the appropriate term or word
  • Using strange or inappropriate words in conversation


The outcome of Aphasia is difficult to predict given the wide range of variability of the condition.
