The Rattan Report
February 11, 2016
From the Desks of Mr. Frazier & Mrs. Reddell
We're into February, with only a few short weeks of winter left! Despite Punxsutawney Phil's prognostications of an early spring, it's still quite chilly, especially in the mornings. Be sure to send your students with appropriate winter attire, as we try to get them outside as much as possible!
Speaking of winter attire, our Lost and Found appears to have taken on a life of its own, and has grown rapidly over the last month. If you children have a missing coat, hat, or sweatshirt, please encourage them to check the Lost and Found! We've organized it to make it easier to search and find any missing items.
Parents of bikers and walkers, you may have already heard that the sidewalk on the west side of Ferguson is FINALLY finished! We've already begun guiding students to use the new sidewalk and route, and we are excited about its completion as it is a much safer option for students to travel. A big THANK YOU to Jean Shea, Karen Easterwood, and Melissa Snyder for volunteering as crossing guards in the neighborhood during this time of construction. Your efforts are much appreciated, ladies!
Looking ahead, here are some upcoming events to note on your calendars:
Friday, Feb. 26 - Student's Night Out
Thursday, Mar. 3 - Open House from 5-7p
Friday, Mar. 4 - Early Release @ 1p
Mar. 7 - 11 - Spring Break
As always, we thank you for your continued partnership and support!
Mr. Frazier and Mrs. Reddell
