Information about the Anzacs and WW1
Australia's got involved in World War 1 on the 4th August 1914 when Britain and Germany went to war. the main cause of the war was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand at Sarajevo on the 28th June 1914. The battles fought by the Anzacs were the Western Front, Gallipoli, Anzac Cove and many others. The impact the war wouldve had for people back in Australia would of been very difficult, having to say bye to loved ones and not knowing if they were returning. Anzac day for australians is to remember all the brave soldiers who fought for us.
