Mahatma Gandhi's Life

Mahatma Gandhi was born in Porbandar, India . He helped India get their independence by starvation, he held a salt walk, and he told people to not buy food or supplies from the British. He also got sent to jail many times. Finally in August 15, 1947 india gained independence from British. One day a guy named Nathuram Godse assassinated Mahatma Gandhi.

Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal is one of the 7 wonders of the world because of its architectural beauty. The Taj Mahal was made out of pure marble. The Taj Mahal was made in honor of Emperor Shah Jahan's wife when she died. They both were buried in the Taj Mahal.

Diwali

Diwali is called "The Festival Of Light" It is compared to christmas but better. The get gifts and all that but the kids get to have a competition where they build their own rocket and see who's rocket gets higher. In the beginning of the day people would light candles and pray till 12:00. Then they would play dandiya where your dance and hit sticks . Then finally they have "The Big Feast"

Marriage Diffrences

1)Hindu Weddings last for several days because they have so many events , parties, and poojas. In Muslim Weddings is shorter than Hindu Weddings, it last about 3 days minimum.
2) Hindu Weddings they hold a ceremonial party or an engagement where they walk around a fire and say vows. In Muslim weddings they have a ring exchange and make each other wear it.
3) Hindu weddings have different sections of when to do what. In Muslim weddings they first have their engagement and the husband and wife stay together for a year then they are officially considers husband and wife

Hinduism

In Hinduism the Baraham is the priest or the leader of Hinduism.Dharma in Hinduism means to do your duty as part of the religion.Hindus generally believe that dharma was revealed in the Vefas although a more common word there for universe laws is Rita. Karma in Hinduism means actions that are taken and the consequences. Samsara is known as the circle of life and what the processes are.
