Curriculum Alignment Project

A powerful opportunity for teacher collaboration


Date: June 8th - 11th

Location: ELA - WHS (specific rooms TBD); Math - WISE Center Training Room

Time: 8:00 - 4:00

We are looking for dynamic and energetic teachers interested in capitalizing on their experience with the new standards to a have a voice in building the 2015-16 CAP progression for their grade levels. As a participant, you will share your lessons learned along the way while hearing from grade level peers about their successful lessons. You will also share the resources you've found that have worked with your students while collaborating with others about their great resources.

Stepping into the role of a teacher leader on your campus


All participants will work closely with their Literacy and Instructional Coaches to maximize your team's success in the 2015-16 school year.


All teachers choosing to participate must attend each day.

All CAP teachers are expected to share the CAP progression with their grade level team and work with coaches to support grade level implementation throughout the school year.

Participants will earn a daily stipend.

All CAP participants should bring a laptop, materials to show others, planning resources, snacks/drinks if they want, and layers (the temperature varies).

Day 1: Intentional Learning, Peer Facilitation, Knowledge Building

Day 2: Modifying the 2014-15 grade level CAP progression

Day 3: Researching resources to support unit plans within CAP progression

Day 4: Creating unit plans
