UPCOMING PARENT MEETINGS FOR GT TESTING

Kindergarten Gifted and Talented Testing

The window for parents to refer their kindergartener for GT testing is Nov. 7- Dec. 6. There will be a very important meeting for parents interested in this process on Nov. 7 at 6:30-7:15 at the PDEC (GCISD Professional Development and Education Center, 5800 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville 76034). The presentation will also be shared on the Advanced Academics page of the district website following the meeting. GT testing will begin after we return from winter break in January.

Parents interested in referring their child for testing need to complete this form: Parent Inventory & Permission to Test , which will go live on November 7th.


5th Grade Gifted and Talented Testing/Middle School Info Meeting for GT

If your child is currently in GT LEAD, he/she does NOT have to take additional testing. However, if you are wanting your child to be considered for the ASPIRE ACADEMY at Cross Timbers Middle School, then you will need to complete an online referral for additional testing if necessary.

All 5th Grade GT parents are welcome to attend this meeting listed below, as there will also be information regarding middle school courses and how they impact choices in high school for our GT students.

In the past two years, SAGE Members have helped us fundraise several thousand dollars to support educator grants, parent programs, and $1000 senior scholarship.

The purchase deadline is Nov. 7. You can pick up your cards Nov. 14 at SAGE 2019 Gifted Pathways event. We will deliver/mail any cards not picked up.
