BRIDGES TO MALAWI 2023 TRIP

Developing the next generation of people who want to save the world.

High school juniors and seniors from the following Massachusetts schools, Hudson HS, Nashoba Regional HS, Maynard HS, and Marlborough HS have the opportunity to participate in our annual contest. Participants pay a registration fee and attend two 3 hour long lecture sessions on 2 different weekend days on January 15 and 29, 2022.

One set of lectures is taught by Dr. Lisse at a medical school level on diseases, such as malaria, parasitic infections, TB, and HIV/AIDS which are all too common in the Developing World. The other set of lectures is on all things Malawi (economy, geography, history, culture, etc.) and is taught by Jennifer Hardy.

Following the second set of lectures, the students are given a multiple choice test and the person who achieves the highest score gets to go to Malawi for free with the medical mission team. Other participants of the contest are invited to come along but must pay their own way. Almost all choose to come along. We take a maximum of 12 students altogether.

This once in a lifetime experience for these high school juniors and seniors is life changing—intended to help produce the next generation of those dedicated to making the world a better place.

Contest dates are November 5 & November 12 --- pick up an application in Guidance with details.

AP Exam Registration

ATTENTION! Students and guardians should complete this registration/enrollment together. This is a two-step process and both steps MUST be completed to access the AP Classroom resources and/or order AP Exams. The entire process (both steps) can be completed in a single sitting in approximately 10 minutes.

  1. Complete the registration process that starts below.
  2. Enroll all your AP courses and exams in the College Board's MyAP system with the Join Codes you will receive at the end of this registration process.

There is no cost for enrolling in AP courses, but the 2023 AP Exams cost $100 per exam. Students taking AP courses/exams at Nashoba Regional High School must enroll/register here by 12:59 pm, October 31, 2022.

A confirmation page indicates that the first step has been completed. The confirmation page will include the information needed to complete the second step of enrolling courses/exams in the College Board's system, MyAP.CollegeBoard.org. This step should be completed right away as exams will not be ordered in a timely manner if both steps are not completed. This will result in an additional $40.00 late fee (after November 15th) per the College Board.

Once registration is complete, students paying at school will need to print two copies of the confirmation page and return one with payment/proof of payment attached to Mrs. Hilliger in the Guidance office. Please make checks payable to Nashoba Regional School District. Payment may also be made via the District online payment center (www.nrsd.net). Payment is expected at time of registration unless other arrangements are made via the Guidance Office. The second confirmation page should be retained for your records as it contains information pertinent to your test(s).

Please contact Mrs. Hilliger (shilliger@nrsd.net) if you would like to register for an exam not listed, have further questions about financial assistance, or any other questions.
