Why is the dairy food group important?

The dairy food group is important because dairy helps strengthen your bones and they help support you, and dairy gives your bones calcium and Vitamin D to stay strong as you age.

What is osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is called the "silent disease", because it causes bone loss without any symptoms.

Three ways you can help prevent it are: Having a healthy diet, healthy lifestyle, and building healthy bones at a young age.

Healthy food choices

Some healthy food choices could be a fruit parfait, also a smoothie, baked beans could be a choice since they supply calcium from the meat group, you could always top a baked potato with a plain yogurt, also trying oatmeal with milk in it.
