February Annual Souper Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
Hello WYWLA Family!
It is time to get back on track for our monthly Teacher Appreciation! The Cookie Bar in December was such a HUGE success, and we can't thank everyone enough for the wonderfully delicious holiday treats! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
It is now time to get back to our Appreciation Months with a yearly winter favorite (second only to the Cookie Bar now!)! For the past two Februarys, we offered the staff a soup and chili luncheon and it was always huge hit and a requested repeat!
Next week, Friday February 9th, we have our next early release. Principal Jernigan-Baker has scheduled an hour for staff lunch before they attend their enrichment activities for the day. We would like to provided our fabulous staff with hot soups and pasta with salad and drinks. All the soups will be gluten free with pasta and/or quinoa that can be added by the staff member. We will also have both vegetarian and meat soups. We will collect items at morning carpool, and you may bring in your soups in crock pots that can be kept warm until serving time. Otherwise, you can drop off the items by 10:30 am in the main office. Please also make arrangements to pickup your items or they will be left in the office for later pickup.
In addition to the food preparation, we will also need disposable containers to store leftovers. In years past, the leftovers were stored in the freezer and fed the staff for the entire month! And of course we couldn't have a complete function without volunteers! Since I am working everyday, I will not be as available as much as in the past so we will need 3-4 volunteers to help set up, serve, and clean up (10:30am - 1pm total time period). Please help in any way that you are able and know that you are just as appreciated as our staff!
