What Digital Reputation is...
Your Digital Reputation is basically your 'Online Identity'. It's defined by your behaviours on Social Media and by the content that you post about yourself and others.
Social Media is a popular way to connect to friends and family, whether it be distance or close relatives, although, it dose have it's negative impacts just as much as it can be a positive network.
Depending on the content posted; it can get you more or less attention from other users and the public eye. This is your digital reputation.
What you post can shape how you are perceived by others online and offline. For future reference and in the present tense, which is our main concern; your private settings and the content that you post, whether it be daily, weekly, or yearly.
First, you must think if whatever you post, affects you or anyone else in a bad way. Whether it be someone you've never met or a close friend or a family member. The choice you make will still be there throughout your life, affecting you in the future; looking for a job or being accepted into a university. Even making new friends or going to a new school - can affect your reputation whether it be good or bad.
