Cheltenham Elementary School

DOLPHIN TIMES- September 7- 11

Welcome Kindergarten and New Students!

We had a wonderful turnout for our Kindergarten Orientation and New student Orientation on Wednesday Sept. 2nd from 6:00-7:30pm. Kindergarten students had the opportunity to meet their teachers and take a tour of the school. PTO volunteers conducted tours and provided snacks and refreshments. The Cheltenham Transportation bus company was also present to conduct tours and bus rides. We are very excited to welcome Dr. Wagner Marseille, Superintendent of Schools, and his family to Cheltenham Elementary.

New App for School Lunch Menus!

The way you access school menus is changing, and we are sure you will love it! Cheltenham , in partnership with Chartwells K12, is now using Nutrislice to publish the school menus to a new interactive website and a free smartphone app! Now you can access your menus anywhere, anytime!

NOW YOU CAN ALSO:

• see more information about menu items, including a photo and description

• filter common food allergens like nuts, wheat and dairy

• translate your menus into a number of different languages

• access nutrition information like carb counts and calories with just a few clicks!

• print a PDF version of the menus directly from the website, if you prefer

Please visit www.cheltenham.nutrislice.com for more information. Or you can download the App from the App Store or Google Play Store and search for Nutrislice.

To reduce our carbon footprint we be reducing the number of printed lunch menus. Beginning in October, if you would like a copy of the lunch menu please contact the office or your child's teacher.

HELP SUPPORT CHOP AND TEAM TOBY / DOMINIC'S POSSE

Our team is participating in CHOP's Parkway Run & Walk 2015 event and we want to invite you to support us. Our team fundraising goal is $25,000. "Join our Team" or "Donate to our Team" http://chop.donordrive.com/team/TEAMINGUPTEAMTOBYDOMINICSPOSSE

They battled like champs for 3 1/2 years and are now off treatment.

We've been "lucky" in a horrible way- with a "good cancer," fantastic oncologists and CHOP -- many others are not and for them, and ourselves, we will CONTINUE TO FIGHT, TO FUNDRAISE, AND TO RAISE AWARENESS UNTIL THERE are real, nontoxic cures for ALL CHILDREN battling cancer.

Join our team or support our team, please. Consider this:

Dominic & Toby received treatments for 3 years and 3 months post remission - roughly 1,185 days...

So, if 1¢/day is what you value their bravery at donate $11.85 today.
5¢ =$59.25
10¢= $118.50
25¢ = $296.25
$1.00 = $ 1,185.00

GIVE ONLY WHAT YOU CAN- AT A MINIMUM, SPREAD THE WORD, BE KIND AS YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT BATTLE OTHERS ARE FACING, AND ‪#‎GOGOLD‬. THANK YOU!

Love,

Angel Schalk (1st grade teacher and Dominic's mother)

& CherryAnn Lang (parent of Toby a 2nd grader at CES)
