Middle School Update
At the beginning of the year we piloted Elective "Track" Choice for our middle school students. Although we can not offer a selection process for the 2nd semester, Mrs. Baumunk and Mrs. Brown are updating their plans for semester 2 to best meet the needs of and engage our 6th-8th grade students. As a snipit preview:
- Music Track students will broaden their musical awareness through exploration of various styles and purposes of music while also expanding their own Ukulele skills through advancing levels of music and performance. And, with Mrs. Baumunk, this class will explore cross-curricular Project Based Learning activities.
- STEM Track students will extend their learning through carefully selected and planned STEM lessons with Mrs. B. And, in Mrs. Brown's class students will explore applied mathematics through games, activities, and projects.
More specific semester 2 syllabi will be provided after the break. Do feel free to contact Mr. Brown, Mrs. Baumunk, or me with any questions you may have.
