Note on Dutch Bros.
Hello Parents,
My name is Officer Walker, and I am the School Resource Officer (SRO) for Windsor Middle School. I’m writing to ask for your help. As we start our school year I am reaching out to you all about some concerns that have been brought to my attention. Although my primary duties are to support our schools, being a sworn police officer for The Town of Windsor, allows me to problem solve other issues/concerns in our community.
Dutch Bros., which is a local coffee shop that is just across the street from the middle school, tends to get a lot of business from members of the community such as parents, students, and staff. Since the start of the school year, it has been observed by Dutch Bros Employees that kids are running in and out of vehicles in the parking lot of the business and are loitering. Dutch Bros. employees want to welcome members of the community, and are proud to serve all who visit. However, when issues like this are brought up, it makes it difficult to serve their customers.
Another point of concern is the limited amount of parking in the business parking lot. Dutch Bros. would like to remind everyone that unless you are a paying customer, please keep the parking spots open for their staff and others wishing to visit the business. Dutch Bros. has the right to trespass individuals, or tow vehicles from their parking lot if they choose.
Thank you for your help with this, and I am looking forward to another fun school year.
Thanks,
Officer Walker

Last Weeks' SRO Student of the Week
With another school year, we have the return of our SRO Student of the Week! And our first Student of the Week is Isaiah!
"Isaiah has been a bright light in everyone's days these first few weeks. He is setting a good example for peers by using his manners, helping others when they need help, and meeting new friends. He is reaching out to peers and is being kind to everyone he interacts with!"
Great job, Isaiah! You're a great Wizard!
Hats Off Awards
Hats Off to Mr. Alexander!
Our first "Hat's Off" Award of the 2022-23 school year goes to Mr. Alexander!
Julian, one of our thankful students wrote, "Mr. Alexander always makes his kids feel happy and special. He understands his students and will do anything to make sure they are all treated the same. When work is given he is very nice about it and will give you almost as much time as needed to complete that assignment, because he understands we all don't get things done the same pace. Overall, he my favorite teacher this year so far, and he is doing a phenomenal job at being a teacher!!"
Hats Off to Mrs. Stoudt!
Another "Hats Off" Award this week goes to Mrs. Stoudt!
A former student wrote, "She was always was so kind to me and my classmates "
Hats Off to Mr. Todd!
We also tipped our "Hats Off" to Mr. Todd this week!
Brooklyn, a grateful student, wrote, "Mr.Todd has already stood out in the first few weeks of school. He makes class fun and exciting, but also keeps us on task. He really understands us; therefore, I think he deserves a hats off award."
