Principal's Message
We have had a wonderful two weeks at Ashbrook! The warmer weather has been welcomed by students and staff alike. Students have been earning "Paw" tickets for staying safe in the classroom, halls, outside and on the bus. We are working towards a school award of bringing a stuffed animal to school and wearing pajamas!
As part of our Climate Team Grant we are able to provide t-shirts for everyone with our new mascot and STAR principles! Homeroom teachers have ordered shirts for all their students based on the sample sizes that they were provided. When the shirts arrive, we will plan a day to wear them all together!

Volunteers Needed!
Ashbrook has contacted our PTA to let them know we are looking for volunteers to help out with our lunch and recess periods. Interested parties can continue to contact the main office. A big thank you to those volunteers who have already started helping in the lunchroom!
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IS OPEN
The pre-registration portal is now open on the Lumberton website for Kindergarten registration. If you have or know someone with a child that will turn 5 on or before September 30th, please direct them to our pre-registration page, HERE.
Gifted & Talented Nominations
Students who will be entering grades 2-3 in September may now be nominated for consideration into the G & T program. Parents may submit their children’s names by filling out the form attached. Note: Students presently in G & T do not have to be re-nominated.
Please send the form to the office mailbox of Mrs. Carver ASAP. Please note that students must meet strict criteria to qualify for this program. They must be highly successful within the regular classroom program and be willing to carry the additional challenges and responsibilities of G & T. Following an initial screening to check that nominated students are within the top 5% nationally on standardized academic tests and that each student nominated will be supported by an academic teacher’s recommendation, Mrs. Carver will contact you for possible further testing of your child. ALL NOMINATION FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON OR BEFORE APRIL 29TH.
Nomination form can be accessed here.
