Fall Frolic Dance
We are so excited to see all of our Stem families at the Fall Frolic Dance!
The dance will take place next Friday, October 22nd from 6:30-8:30pm, with family friendly costumes encouraged!
This will be a family event with pizza and concessions available, games and lots of fun! (Children must be supervised so please no drop offs!)
As a special treat, one of our talented Stem parents will be selling delicious fall treats as well!
Your child should have brought home a flyer that allows you to pre-pay and gives more details. If you did not receive this, here is the link to view and access.
In order to make this dance a successful event, we need the help of our wonderful Stem parents! Please take a look at the sign up genius and consider signing up for a shift or two!
Congratulations to our Fifth Grade Cross Country Team!
Congratulations to our Fifth Grade Cross Country Team for their hard work in training and competing in the annual Fifth Grade Run which was held at Waukesha West on October 13. We'd like to compliment our team on their teamwork and support of one another. Our STEM girls placed 1st overall in the large school division while our boys placed 4th. A number of girls and boys also earned individual trophies, medals, or ribbons for their place at the finish line. Way to go STEM runners!
PTSO Fall Fundraiser for the new STEM Playground
The Fall Fundraiser is here! (click link to view) Please help the PTSO raise money to fund a new playground. It's easy - the goal is to sell as many days as possible on the calendar coming home with your child today. Each day is a donation of the date number - for example the 5th is a $5 donation. There is no limit to how many calendars your child can fill. There will be prizes for top donations per class, grade level, and individual. BONUS: if the whole school raises at least $10,000, Mrs. Horn will dress up as a chicken and do the chicken dance!
Student IDs/Lunch Codes
All of our 2nd-5th grade students need to type in their 6 digit student ID number when receiving hot lunch. Lunch is still free, this is just a way of tracking how much is served (which will help us ensure we have correct ordering estimates and don't run out of favorite lunch choices). Please help your child memorize their code-- they will use this ID for lunch and many other things all the way through high school graduation.
K-1 students do not need to type in their codes, but we recommend beginning to learn this number so they are ready when they get to 2nd grade :)
If you do not know your child's ID, login to your Infinite Campus Parent portal (yellow icon at the top right of the SDW homepage: https://sdw.waukesha.k12.wi.us/)
Click on "Today" on the left side of the screen. Click it again and one of your students will pop up. His/Her student number is listed under their name. If you have more than one student, you will see a pull down on the top right of the screen where you can select the next child.
Thank you for your assistance keeping our lunch serving lines moving along!
Blessings in a Backpack
