Luster
The luster of a diamond depends if it is cut or not. When uncut the luster is greasy and when cut the luster wold be adamantine.
Hardness
The hardness on the Mohs Hardness Scale is rated a 10. The absolute hardness is a 1600.
Color
Usually yellow, brown, gray to colorless. Less often blue, green, black, or translucent white, pink, violet, orange, purple .
Streak
This mineral tends to be clear or very light which therefore results in no streak.
Crystal Form

Cleavage
The cleavage for a diamond is perfect octahedra.
Fracture
The fracture of a diamond is irregular and uneven.
