School Newsletter for Parents
Week of October 11
Hello, Attea families. We've reached the end of another busy and successful week. Some highlights:
- Continuing in our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and Attea's wonderful linguistic diversity, the daily Pledge of Allegiance was recited in Spanish on Monday and in Urdu on Friday.
- The principal team gave Middle School Success talks to each grade level. The goal of the talks is to reinforce academic and social habits of success. This became especially important in light of some of the difficulty some of our students have had in transitioning back to daily school experience in a building fully populated.
- A special schedule on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during which time SEL teachers held individual goal-setting conferences with students and the SEL groups engaged in team-building activities. One of the team building activities was a spirit-oriented door decorating contest. Enjoy some select pictures of decorated doors below.
Some highlights of next week include...
- Erin's Law Presentations on Wednesday morning (parents received a separate email about this September 16).
- Fall Book Fair (see below for more information)
- Parent-Teacher Conferences on Friday
- Raffle prize drawings from the PTA FUNDTober Drive
- More recognitions and celebrations of our students and Attea's wonderful diversity.
Have a great weekend.

Drop-off Safety and Efficiency
- Allow extra time for yourself in the morning.
- Follow the traffic pattern (shown below).
- Follow the directional indicators on the property and do not stop in front of the orange chain on the east side of the drop-off line.
- Make sure your child is ready to swiftly exit the vehicle when you stop along the curb.
- Please pull up as far as you can along the Athletic Entrance curb in order to allow the most amount of cars to drop off at once.
- For our students' sake, please model patience and poise with other drivers at all times, and contact the office to share information about any specific safety concern.
Principal Chat - Tuesday, October 12 @ 10am - Zoom
“Principal Chats” are intended to give parents an opportunity to ask questions and/or share feedback about the school. There is no agenda, just an opportunity to talk informally about items of interest. All are welcome.
