News from the Principal

Happy Valentine’s Day to All of the Boone Family!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day. Please remember that both Friday, February 12th and Monday, February 15th are student holidays. There are no in-person or virtual classes for students. Enjoy the 4-day weekend!!! What a great time to recognize those special people in our lives that make getting through each day a little easier and a bit more fun. We are a family. We support each other. We care about each other. Let’s make we sure we show that every day of the year!!

No Curbside Service Friday, February 12th and Monday, February 15th.

Due to the student holidays this Friday and Monday, our normal curbside service will be unavailable. Please do not plan to drop off or come by Boone on these two days. Curbside Service will be available again starting Tuesday, February 16th.

Parent/Teacher Conferences:

This is the time of year for Spring conferences here at Boone. If you have not received information about setting up your Spring conference with your teacher, please contact them directly. Monday, February 15th, is a Parent/Teacher conference day for all AISD elementary grade students. It is also a student holiday, so the children will be at home on Monday.

Next AISD Asynchronous Days:

Just a reminder that the next two AISD district-wide Asynchronous Days are February 26th and March 5th. These are on consecutive Fridays. On these days, there will be no in-person classes at Boone, but all students will participate in completing asynchronous assignments. I will hold my usual morning assembly and all teachers will hold their usual morning meetings. After that, students will be completing independent assignments. It is important that students complete the assigned asynchronous work on these two days to receive credit for attendance.

Commitment Forms

I have sent a couple of separate emails regarding the completion of these forms for next year. In case you did not see these, here is the information one last time:

Below is the "School Commitment Form" for the 2021-2022 School Year. This form is critical to Boone’s planning for the next school year. Due to the pandemic, our overall enrollment at Boone has dropped significantly the year. This drop in enrollment could potentially result in a drastic staffing and budget reductions for Boone.

It is extremely important that we have this form completed by EVERY family who is planning to attend Boone for the 2021-22 school year. If the district’s projections for Boone’s enrollment next year are lower than expected, I will be able to use these commitment forms as concrete evidence of what our true enrollment numbers are.

On the district level, this form is to gather information on your child's plan for attending AISD in 2021-2022. This information is used to help inform decisions on staffing, transportation needs, transfer alignment planning, etc., so we can better help your child have a successful next school year.

For your convenience, this form is a fillable PDF that you can save to your computer, complete and return the completed form by email. You can also print it out, complete it, and scan it to send back in an email. Please email all forms to There is a Spanish and English version of the form attached.

The form can also be dropped off between 8:30 – 2:00pm Monday through Friday using our Curbside service. Paper copies are also available as part of our curbside service and you can complete the paper form while you are here.

You will need to fill out a form for each child that is returning to Boone. If you have a current 5th grader, you do not need to complete one for them.

Please take time to complete this form today!! We need all forms by Friday, February 12th.

If you have any questions, please call the Boone office at 512-414-2537.
