Kasson-Mantorville Middle School
Welcome Back!
A Message from Mr. Larsen
On behalf of the staff at Kasson-Mantorville Middle School, we would like to welcome you and your child to the 2021-2022 school year. We are excited to partner with you and your child's education. While last school year was unlike any other we have experienced, we are eager to move forward in your child's education. At KMMS, we focus our efforts on educating the whole child - we firmly believe that positive and meaningful relationships between students, families, and staff are the foundation for building respectful, responsible, and productive citizens. Furthermore, KMMS has high academic and character expectations for all students in and out of the classroom. As a result of these efforts, we know that the students and staff working together will make Kasson-Mantorville Middle School the best it can be and realize that no significant learning occurs without meaningful relationships.
Included in this newsletter you will find important information and dates for Grade 5 Orientation, Grades 6-8 Open House, picture day, food benefits, and school supplies.
As always, a healthy and safe learning environment continues to be a priority as we continue to navigate COVID-19. As outlined in Superintendent Matuska's letter to families, masking for students and staff will be optional yet we are committed to maintaining 3 feet of social distancing at school. Our KMMS maintenance staff will continue its rigorous cleaning schedule. I am committed to ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment for all. Please be watchful for the KMMS Return to School Plan in upcoming communications.
I am excited to meet all of you in the coming weeks. It is going to be another fantastic year at KMMS. In the meantime, please know that we have a terrific staff that will address any questions or concerns that you may have. We want your child's time at KMMS to be a positive experience. Thank you in advance for your continued partnership with Kasson-Mantorville Middle School.
Together in KoMet Pride,
Josh Larsen

Infinite Campus Annual Update
Parents and students have access to information about grades, attendance, schedules, and notifications in Infinite Campus, our student information system. You can update your contact information, pay fees, make purchases, and put money on lunch accounts using your Infinite Campus Parent or Student Account.
Each year, families are required to complete the Annual Update within Infinite Campus. Completing the annual update ensures we have current home and mailing addresses, contact information, and emergency contacts in the event we need to contact you regarding your child. The Annual Update also replaces many of the paper forms that are collected during back-to-school open house and conference times such as health forms, field trip permission, and more.
If you have not already done so, please log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account to complete the annual student update for the 21-22 school year by Friday, August 27. Please click here for directions to help you access the Annual Update or review this attached video from Infinite Campus for more information about using Online Registration/Annual Update.
If you do not currently have an Infinite Campus Portal account, or you are having trouble accessing your account, please reach out to your child’s school building secretary for assistance. Only one parent/guardian in each household can complete the Annual Update.
