Red Ribbon Week
Please join us next week, October 25-28, in celebrating Red Ribbon Week, a week that celebrates the choice to be drug-free. The theme this year is "Drug-Free Looks Like Me"
Below are our spirit days for next week. Red Ribbon Week lessons will be taught in Life Skills class focusing on healthy choices in the younger grades and living a drug-free lifestyle in the older grades.
In keeping with the 2021 National Red Ribbon Week theme, "Drug-Free Looks Like Me", students and staff members are encouraged to take photographs or short videos of themselves involved in their healthy drug-free activities. This could include any healthy activity, such as sports, raising animals, arts and crafts, cooking, or any kind of healthy play or hobby. Photos should be submitted to Ms. Eastman in mp4 format. Photos and videos need to be submitted by Thursday, Oct. 28. Thank you for your support!

Another great option for a birthday treat is to order through the Food Service Department. Please refer to the attached flyer.

Pop Tab Program
Little things can mean a lot…
Since 2000, recycling little aluminum tabs on the tops of soda cans has generated over $360,000 for the Ronald McDonald House. Revenue from recycling these little bits of aluminum helps provide a home-away-from-home for families whose seriously ill children are undergoing treatment in the Milwaukee area. Saving pop tabs is easy and clean. They’re compact, with a concentration of recyclable aluminum. Unlike empty cans, they don’t need to be rinsed.
Here’s how you can help:
Spread the word to your family, friends, classmates and co-workers and provide containers for them to deposit the pop tabs they save. Then bring those tabs into school.
Since 2011 our district has collected 3,914 pounds of tabs which equals about 4,959,038 tabs!
We will be collecting tabs again this year. Once a class collects FOUR ice cream buckets of tabs they will receive a special treat!
