Checking In
On a scale of suns, how do you feel?
How are you feeling? There might be times when checking in with yourself feels challenging. You might have so many things on your mind that it can be difficult to pinpoint your feelings. When this happens, you can pause for mindful breathing. Mindful breathing is paying close attention to the natural rhythm and flow of your breaths and the way it feels to inhale and exhale. This can help you to be present in the moment so that you can focus on your current feelings. Being present might help you to notice and name your current feelings and is helpful to people of all ages. You can start practicing today! Below are some videos that might help you get started with mindful breathing.
Making the Most of Summer
Summer is winding down and the beginning of the school year is just around the corner. However, it is NOT too late to enjoy the remaining days of summer. This is a great time to pause and think about the things you would like to do with your friends and loved ones before summer vacation ends. Creating a list will help you to make time and space to visit new places, try new things, and connect with important people. Click here to find a template for creating your Summer Bucket List. Be sure to post this list on your refrigerator or somewhere that you will see it often.
Questions to help you get started:
- Where do you want to go?
- Who do you want to visit?
- How can you help others?
- Which books do you want to read?
- What do you want to accomplish before the school year begins?
- What projects do you want to work on?

You can celebrate that they passed a certain number of lessons or even an increased number of lessons from the previous week.
