Email Your Senators!

It is important to let your State Legislation know about how important this issue of domestic violence truly is. You can send your Georgia Senators, John Isakson and David Perdue emails in order to let them know about how much you care. Go to http://www.isakson.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/email-me and https://www.perdue.senate.gov/connect/email in order to spread awareness. Copy and paste the following message in the box:

"Hello Senator,

As you know, Georgia's House Bill 29 "Preventing Government Overreach on Religious Expression Act" is being considered under Georgia’s General Assembly. While this bill aims to protect people against government interference in their faith, it would give legal safety to those who've been accused of child abuse and domestic violence while acting in the name of religion. As an advocate of the eradication of domestic violence, I encourage you to not let this bill pass. It will cause for the infringement of safety among the vulnerable in the home, specifically children.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this letter during your busy schedule. It is special that I can address someone who actually has the power to make a difference in the world.

Thank you so much!"
