From The Principal:

What a great week! Second grade did an amazing job in their Christmas Program--I am so proud of all of them. Our K-2 students worked hard on their benchmark testing, and we are proud of their hard work.

Next week is Anti-Bullying Week at LSRO. We will focus time on ways to stop bullying, and how to be a good friend. Look for more information from our counselor, Katie Ostrander.

Continue to encourage your child to work hard and finish the semester in a strong way! The end of the 2nd nine weeks is December 22, and it's coming fast!

Have a great weekend!

From Our Counselor:

Next week at LSRO, we will be having “Anti-bullying Week.” I have created a presentation for the teachers to discuss in their classrooms each day with the students. The daily topics are as follows:

Monday- “What is bullying?”

Tuesday- “ If you are being bullied, what should you do?”

Wednesday- “When you see someone being a bully, what should you do?”

Thursday- “If you are a bully, what can you do?”

Friday- “LSRO is against bullying!”

Here are some resources to use at home to learn more about anti-bullying:

Attendance Incentives:

This 6 weeks we have GOOGLE CHROMEBOOKS for the students that have perfect attendance. We will be having two separate drawings, one for K-3rd and 4th-6th grade students. A total of two students will win a Google ChromeBook. If you have any questions feel free to contact Jennifer Bueno at

November Staff & Teacher of the Month:

Mrs. Rhonda Hopper is our November teacher of the month. Mrs. Hopper joined Life School Red Oak in 2010. She started off as a 5th grade teacher and moved to 6th grade Science, where she is now the team lead for this amazing group of teachers. It is truly amazing to step into her classroom and watch her engage with her students in various science labs and activities. When asked why she loves teaching, her answer is simple "because children are fun to be around." In her spare time Mrs. Hopper enjoys making quilts and other handmade crafts.

Ms. Estay is our Staff Member of the Month for November! Ms. Estay has been an instructional aide here at Life School Red Oak for eleven years. In those years she has worked with Mrs. Grey in kindergarten, as well as many other roles within our campus. She also works as our PE aide, and does a great job helping the students stretch their bodies and minds. Ms. Estay enjoys spending time with her sons, Jarrad and Connor and daughter-in-law Misty. She adores her new grandson, JR. She also volunteers her time at Paws for Reflection Ranch. We are so thankful for all the hard work, love, and dedication Ms. Estay shows each day at LSRO.

From Our Yearbook Staff:

Parents, we need your help. We are in need of photos from the first day of school and any other event you may have taken pictures. Here is a way to upload your photos so that we can use them for our yearbook. Download ReplayIt from the App Store or Google Play for free today!

The Jostens ReplayIt® app is the best way to share photos with your school community while making them available for your school’s yearbook. After going through moderation, your photos are viewable by community members for tagging, liking and sharing. ReplayIt is the best way to collaborate and celebrate moments that matter.
